3 Ways to get your Can-Am® ready for Summer

Mar. 20 2021 News By Avery

Summer is a few months away, and while the snow was fun, the time to hit the trails will soon be upon us. Here’s three ways to make sure your Can-am Machine is ready for the upcoming Summer months!

1.Keep it Clean

Alright, hear me out, I know there are a LOT of you reading this that like a healthy caking of mud to decorate your machine. Trust me, I get it. But a layer of dust and mud from last season isn’t necessarily the best thing. Get in there, and clean things off and prepare it for the next seasonal “caking” ritual that we take part in at the start of every summer. It’ll also give you a chance to clean your seats, re-evaluate your paint-job, and get a close nostalgic look at what it was when you first took it home. If you need any cleaning tips, products, or opinions, our staff is glad to help out.

2.Check your Engine

This might seem redundant, but trust me, nothing is worse than taking your machine out to the trail, and running into mechanical issues, and while we always guarantee state-of-the-art quality when our products leave our shop, we know that if you take care of your machine, it’ll take care of you. Give your machine the TLC that it deserves, and do some engine checks. Drive it around the block, change the oil, check the filters, and make sure everything is in working order. If you’re a beginner and don’t quite know where to start, come on into the shop, and we’ll take care of any questions or concerns you might have.

3.Gear, Gear, Gear

Let’s be honest, all that brand new gear that you bought last year is stowed away hastily in a box in your attic or garage, and if not then congrats, you can skip this step! For the rest of us, then there’s a few things we can do. Firstly, take out all the riding gear that you like, and make sure it’s clean, fits well, and looks how you like. For those with families, make sure your kids gear is all ready for them to wear, and there won’t be any last second trips when you’re already on the trail (even though we’ll be there for you if you need us). If everything is organized and ready to go, you'll have nothing to worry about on day 1, and you can spend more time worrying about fun, and less about uncomfortable clothing or a cracked helmet.

If this guide helped you, great! Feel free to share it with your friends, If not, thanks for reading anyways.
